I went out Tuesday afternoon to try catch the sunset. There were some promising looking clouds in the sky that I was hoping would give me some great scenery.

Saturday, October 15th, 2011The storm clouds were clearing away and they left a nice sunset behind. Got to the best vantage point I could in a hurry to catch the sky just as it set.
Sunday Afternoon Sunset
Sunday, October 9th, 2011This afternoon I took a drive out to the Toowoomba waterbird habitat with my camera and my Tokina 11-16mm lens in tow. Just after the sun went down the sky really turned on the colours and the cloud cover made the view awesome.

Monday Evening Sunset
Monday, September 26th, 2011Finding areas within town that I can quickly drive to in order to take sunset photos without having buildings and power lines obstructing the skyline has been a bit of a challenge. Finally I found a spot that I really should have known about all along. Sometimes it is true that you can’t see what’s in front of your eyes. I drive past this place daily on my way to uni. Facepalm.
Red Sun
Thursday, September 15th, 2011This afternoon there was a fine cloud in the distance that caused the sun to turn blood red when it set behind the cloud.

Monday, September 12th, 2011I still find it interesting that a few minutes between photos can have a noticeable difference on the tone of the image.
